Ilham Ibrahim is a writer and researcher based in Istanbul. He recently completed his MA in Sociology at Ibn Haldun University. His research interests include sociology of religion and secularism, ethnography of the state, and anthropology of Islam. His doctoral thesis focused on religious and secular reforms in the post-colonial socialist era of Somalia. In addition to his academic work, he is passionate about community studies, traditional art, music, and poetry, and enjoys creative writing.
